It’s safe to say I’ve lived most my life in the fast lane. Growing up as an only child in a family that would relocate frequently due to the nature of my father’s business, I had to learn how to resettle and readjust to a new lifestyle. Having to make new friends and leave old ones behind, I began to realize the value of enjoying time spent alone while focusing on pursuing my passions and hobbies. When I was gifted my first camera for my birthday, I quickly became obsessed with photography and fell in love with the idea of trapping moments of time gone by in the form of still photographs. Taking my camera everywhere I went, I also learned how to take photos of people and objects in motion, and my appreciation and focus in photography quickly evolved into motion portrait.
Having pursued photography professionally since then, I’ve been able to apply my keen attention to detail and experience around taking photographs of objects in motion to make the essence of movement and dynamics stand out even in when looking at ordinary still photographs. My recent work shows my desire to incorporate my passion and strengths in motion photography in combination with portraiture. This has allowed me to capture photos of people in motion with the same quality and definition as though they were still objects.
